Although details on EA's SSX: Deadly Descents are still scarce, information has started to trickle out - including confirmation that the game will be playable in 3D.
In the latest issue of PSM3 the mag exclusively confirms that the title will offer "200+ real world tracks mapped using NASA topography data" and follows this up by revealing it's in 3D.
In the feature the game's creative Director Todd Batty also explains the thinking behind Deadly Descent's more gritty art direction, which he says won't alienate fans of the series.
"Some of my team saw me playing SSX Tricky and thought it was a Wii game" said Batty.
"SSX had this amazing casual candy bar wrapper but inside was this amazing hardcore gameplay experience...we want to deliver what SSX players absolutely love, just change the wrapper so it sits a bit better on PS3" he explained.
EA has said it knows fans are clamouring for this game and "have lots of surprises in store" for them.
SSX: Deadly Descents is expected for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 late this year.
